A huge thank you to everyone who came to the Start-Up Connections event on March 20 at the Birmingham Business School. Over 140 people made up of students, local businesses, start-up companies and professionals took part in our biggest networking event to date. At the start of the evening students and employers found out about opportunities available before a huge buffet arrived
signalling the start of a productive networking session.
A huge thank you to everyone from BizzInn, Barker Brettell, DLA Piper, Greater Birmingham Chamber of Commerce, FSB, Natwest Incubator Birmingham, Santander, UoB Business Engagement and DARO.
On the night, the UoB Start-Up society announced the winners of the Birmingham Start-Up Games competition – here were the results:

There was also a showcase event of UoB start-ups, freelancers and influencers in one room. A special thanks to Filippo Galli, GymBuddy, New Street Records, Rose Habenero, The Empowerment Project and Wecheng Zang.
A very full looking Birmingham Business School made for a great night and future connections to help students and start-ups alike. Here’s looking forward to our next one in 2020!
